> 4D Maze Game
In the Maze
A seed, here, is an initial value that determines the sequence of random numbers produced by a random number generator. So, all other things being equal, the seed options control the exact results of the maze and color generation processes. The “Current” column shows the seed values that were used in the current game, while the “Next” column shows the values that will be used in the next new game.
The “Next” column can be used to recreate a particular game, but in practice it is not very useful, because it's much easier just to save and reload the game. When the column is left blank, seed values based on the current date and time are used.
The maze seed determines the sequence of random numbers used in the maze generation process. The current maze seed, like the current maze options, cannot be changed.
The color seed determines the sequence of random numbers used in the color generation process. The current color seed can be changed (or made blank), in which case the wall colors will change while the maze remains the same.
