“Experience” is the right concept, but I find the word too long and clumsy.

Actually, “create” isn't quite the correct word, either, since it doesn't handle the case where multiple actors are involved in a single work. Consider an actor in a movie, for example. You wouldn't say that the actor creates the movie; the correct verb is something along the lines of “help to create” or “participate in the creation of”.
