JuneHi, I'm back! I only have two essays for you this time, but then it always takes me a while to get back up to speed after I've been away from writing.
The essay Multiplication in Base 10 is a nice long one with lots of pretty pictures.
Another thing that's pretty is the new and improved congruence sign. When I wrote A Theorem on Finite Abelian Groups back in 2001, an underlined equals sign was the best option I could come up with, but now even my old browser knows what ≡ means. And, since I defined the symbol once in a central location instead of writing “underlined equals sign” everywhere, it was easy to make the change retroactive!
(You'd think the escape sequence ≅ would be the one I'd want, but no, that's for congruence in geometry.)
The other new essay, Anonymity, is a fairly dry exploration of my writing style, but I still hope it will be of some interest.
