I'm beginning to think I can't write short essays any more … any subject, no matter how trivial, seems to require at least three screens of text to describe. On the other hand, maybe I'm writing about more complex subjects, or I've gotten better at organizing my notes, or I've just forgotten how to break long essays into parts.

In any case, here are a few essays for you. The one about journaling is central; the others are just things I felt like writing about.
