Miscellaneous Carroll

Here are a few tidbits from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.

And here Alice began to get rather sleepy, and went on saying to herself, in a dreamy sort of way, “Do cats eat bats? Do cats eat bats?” and sometimes “Do bats eat cats?” for, you see, as she couldn't answer either question, it didn't much matter which way she put it.

That one I was reminded of when I was writing about Nihilism, when I was wondering to myself, “Are beliefs values? Are values beliefs?”.

This next one I like because it reminds me of me.

“The horror of that moment,” the King went on, “I shall never, never forget!”

“You will, though,” the Queen said, “if you don't make a memorandum of it.”

There may eventually be other quotations in other places—which could be found by going to the book pages and looking at the backlinks—but right now the only one is in Content Dynamics.

It reminds me of me? What about that guy from Memento?
